GOOD CHAIN RESTAURANT This is a very popular chain restaurant, and for a good reason: it is a cut above the many others. Although they miss a beat now and then, overall dining here is a pleasant experience and the food is usually well above average. Coupons and special deals bring a lot of old-timers in, but, hey, I resemble that remark!

Sadly I just had my last experience at Bonefish. I stopped in after work with a friend for some cocktails and appetizers. I had my bag on the chair next to me. A couple came in and I did n't hear her ask about whether the chair was taken...so she loudly asked the bartender. I turned and moved the bag. They say down and I said "you could have asked me." I turned back to my friend and was saying that it would have been nice if she had asked me, then she yelled at me , and the boyfriend threatened me saying "DON'T EVEN LOOK AT ME." I was feeling threatened and began to shake. Luckily I had already paid my bill so I left as fast as possible. I am a 62 year old woman who was being threatened by a man at least half my age and no one responding. I spoke with manager on way out, all he could say was I'm sorry...no offer of compensation. Didn't ask if I was ok. No one stopped to talk even though I was outside a good five minutes because I was too shaken to drive.LAST visit ever to this chain. This experience was like being at a dive bar brawl. A misunderstanding about a handbag does not deserve a physical threat. The bartender was listening...no one did a thing. So, beware, this place no longer feels safe to me even at a reasonable hour. Would have given no stars but can't on this site.

Came here on a late Sunday afternoon. They offered both brunch menu as well as regular lunch menu. Was a bit disappointed as I wanted to get some of the newly offered apps we had tried at a yelp event but discovered they don't offer until after 4 pm. So I ordered the bang bang tacos and enjoyed although menu says they come on crunchy tacos, but these came with soft flour shells. Others in our party ordered the ahi tuna sashimi which came with wasabi and pickled ginger and the Kobe beef burger. Home made chips as the side was ok. Service was adequate and food was ok but very glad I had $50 gift card as our meal for 4 came to over $60 before tip. Over priced burgers imo. Will return when they offer bar bites.

It's a chain restaurant, so you should have expectations as such. We tend to stick to apps and certain dishes like the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos which are usually pretty decent. The place can get a little touristy on season, but we enjoy it for lunch now and then. The service is hit or miss. Again, it depends if you go on or off tourist season. All in all, I rate it as decent for a chain restaurant. No horror stories to tell, but nothing too memorable either.

I have never known a restaurant that was consistently good for both food and service but Bonefish is one of the best whether you like the seafood, or like me, chose their filet mignon which is prepared perfectly, exceptionlly seasoned with texture like velvet. I can't say enough good things about it. It was busy and will be even more busy in season. We had a reservation and I highly recommend it even in the summer months.

This is as good as it gets for a chain restaurant. Wednesdays are the day to come for Bang Bang Shrimp for only $6. I recommend Starmont Sauvignon Blanc as a fair priced wine to accompany the seafood you choose when dining there. Crisp, and served well in an frozen stone carafe bottle holder. The Colby burger is always excellent, and the Sea Bass is fantastic. Feel free to order all four of the dipping sauces for the Sea Bass, and you will find your own happy place without stress. This is one of the few places I have found orange roughy as a dinner. if you hear it for the special, GRAB it!

For a chain GMO restaurant , this one is probably one of the best. It's still a chain However, so I'm always skeptical. I had the daily special "fresh" fish which the waiter actually told me is everyday " fresh " fish special. It was at least moist and covered with a mango sauce have it flavor. I really have no idea what kind of fish it actually is, however. Sorry, but my second time back I made a dinner reservation for 6:30. We weren't seated until almost eight. Granted it was a special Tuesday night. But the service was poor, food barely edible and hated waiting so long for a seat!

Couldn't wait to eat at Bonefish Grill but when we went in the person behind the bar was like WE'RE CLOSED. I had to ask again what she said because their website says that they're open to 10pm and it was a little after 9. Both my husband and I thought that she was rather rude about it considering it says they're open till 10. While we were in the car deciding on a different place to eat 2 more people walked up to try to get in but now the door was locked. Be careful they obviously close when they want.

Bonefish grill at the Tamiami location was great. It was three of my closest friend birthday so the restaurant owner gave us 2 desserts of our choice on the house! Staff was nice and helpful. I ordered the Bang Bang shrimp as a dinner mean and it was great! Restaurant is pricy but affordable...would compare it to a P.F. Changs menu price.

Fantastic food! The service is stellar! The tuna app is amazing. Loved the whole experience, and will go back again. This is how a well managed establishment operates. Love to sit at the bar. The service there is every bit as attentive as a table, and you get to chat with other patrons.

Absolutely to die for Chilean sea bass with a side of mango salsa. Great hypnotic martini washes down like a blue raspberry kook-aid. Cool business name for but your regular run of the mill chain restaurant decor.

Great Bang Bang Shrimp night with new fried macaroni cheese balls along with donut deserts with separate chocolate and Carmel fillings that is squirted into three donuts. As usual all of the food was really great.

We just had lunch at Bonefish Grill for the first time and were pleasantly surprised at the food quality. First things first, though. The interior is rather bland; although tidy and fairly spacious there's not much decor. The tables are covered in brown paper for fast/easy cleanup, which is completely understandable, but the tabletops look like a boring kitchen table at home - just a set of twist-style, labeled salt/pepper shakers and a generic, unlit candle. The restrooms were clean although it was very early in the day's service. Next, our server, while pleasant and present, did not recite any specials - this seems to be very common with younger waitstaff. Dining guests should at least get a "would you like to hear today's specials" without having to ask. Soups are not listed on the lunch menu except as soup/salad/sandwich combos, so we only learned that lobster bisque was an option after we heard our neighboring diners ask what kind of soup came with the combo, at which point we had already ordered. For lunch we had a shrimp pad Thai and a cilantro-lime salad with grilled shrimp. Both portions were generous and nicely presented. The pad Thai had a slightly different twist than what you normally find at a Thai restaurant, perhaps some ginger syrup or other sweet agent in the sauce. It was also saucier than usual. There was a nice volume of well-cooked shrimp and plenty of veggies. The salad was fresh and crisp but was about 90% lettuce (a blend) and only 10% veggies (red onions, red bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, corn and black beans). It would have been more interesting, flavorful and healthy with a ratio of 75/25% or so. The grilled shrimp, which is an add-on item, was very nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked, and the cilantro-lime dressing was zippy. I would have loved the option of some jalapenos or other form of spicy heat, and a few more tortilla strips would be appreciated. We don't typically dine in a lot of chain restaurants but it's nice to know if we're on the road looking for a decent meal we can stop at Bonefish Grill and hopefully have a similarly satisfying experience.

I'm in Florida visiting my dad. I live on the West Coast so I'm accustom to great sea food. Never been a big chain resturant supporter, but after my families experience at Bone Fish tonight I'm a fan. Great people, enjoying serving, delivering the experience and quality we were looking for. Highly recommend to anyone local or visiting.....

Had never been to a Bone Fish Grille before so we didn't know what to expect. Right off the bat the restaurant gives a feeling of high quality. The waitress was very nice and helpful. The food was very tasty and the plating was very nice. We will definitely return.

First let me day that your evening is bound to get off to a swimming start if you arrive before six on a Tuesday and partake of a happy hour house wine. The food seems disproportionately delectable and the wait staff disproportionately doting and on top of things when you have a nice buzz going. That said, we were aware enough of our surroundings to appreciate that our food was fresh and tasty. The Atlantic salmon with herb pesto sauce was really good. The jasmine rice was also spot-hitting. The service was awesome. Our waiter and his trainee were very attentive and listened and acted upon our sometimes confusing demands with professionalism and poise. There is something to be said for a restaurant that Is bursting at the seams of capacity before six, with most jovial and seeming to enjoy their food. Yes, it's a chain, but definitely one of the better ones in this area.

An excellent dining experience. Went there on A Friday night without reservations, and were seated within the timeframe they gave us. Our waiter, who was a Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad) look alike was outstanding, very attentive and helpful while ordering our food and throughout our dinner. Our food was perfect and delicious. We will be back and will recommend it to our friends.

The four stars is for the food. The bang bang shrimp, seared ahi tuna, and the Chilean sea bass were all fantastic. Kudos to the kitchen. The front of the house was less pleasing. We ate here in July, the off season, and it was not busy. When we walked in and were greeted, or shall I say we initiated the greeting, by a young hostess with a sneer on her face. She was less than pleasant. The ladies room was out of toilet paper and we had to flag our waiter down a few times. We will eat at Bonefish again, but probably not this one.

Food always good here Went for Sunday brunch had the bang bang shrimp eggs Benedict, wasn't sure what to expect Excellent! We were there at 1pm My husbands steak & lobster Thermidor was great too! Our friends had surf & turf eggs Benedict and regular eggs Benedict, everyone loved their meals Service always great

We've loved this restaurant for nine years. We took our son from SF there last night and had an awful meal. We didn't want to spoil the evening so nobody said anything until we were on our way home. The Chilean sea bass was unedible - My husband said he could smell a " strong fishy odor" as they passed my plate. I ate only the surrounding mango trimmings. 162.00 dollars for three lousy meals! This was the Ft. Myers restaurant. The bang bang shrimp was the only salvation! So disappointed

We have been long term patrons of Bonefish but this trip along with past couple of trips is challenging us. Service was okay, food just struggled. Son ordered Lobster Bisque as he has often, it was thick as paste, literally would barely drop off spoon. Salads fine, did not order bar drinks on this trip. Wife ordered Petite Filet and Broccoli. Hers was fine. I ordered Orange Rough special, with Broccoli and Spaghetti Squash. When they brought mine out Broccoli was raw. I mean raw, no heat applied. It was obvious when looking at my wife's and then mine. Mine had white salad bar look; hers deep green look after cooking. I had a 50 cent piece size of a pile of squash that appeared and tasted like it had sat for awhile. The problem is our past three experiences were exactly the same. Manager apologized, but when they brought out new plate about 5 minutes later, they brought same plate but with cooked broccoli. Orange Roughy now dry, luke warm, and squash even more nasty. It was a time to shine but they failed miserably. Manager took meal off bill but that was not asked for. I would have been more impressed to provide a fresh new plate. My overall impression based on my dining experiences and past restaurant experience is that the attention to detail in this location lacks commitment. I think we may give Bonefish a vacation for a bit.

We arrived around 7:15and were told there would be a 20 minute wait. The dining room was 1/3 empty. We sat outside as it was a pleasant evening but service was poor wait staff changed twice. Ahi tuna was good but Kobi burger was served on a day old bun. have been here 3 times this year and it will be my last. Previous visits have been similar with poor service and mediocre food.

Great atmosphere and very consistant quality. I have dined at multiple locations across Florida including Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Naples and what stands out to me is the consistency with which they deliver quality. One caveat, Wednesday's they run specials and it gets really busy so the service may be a little slow. I recommend paying the extra $4 for the Bang-Bang shrimp and visit them on another day. You'll enjoy the experience better.

We have been to Bonefish a few times and have been pleased. Made reservation Christmas Eve. Husband orders ribeye and waitress says they have run out and says they do have a fillet. What came out looked like a Salisbury steak from a microwave meal. I did take a picture and later deleted it. Did not want to get upset on the holiday. But, Really?? We will not be going back.

Took my best friend for dinner last night, what a wonderful dining experience. Started off with the Mussels, they were to die for. The broth was the best part, so yummy. My daughter had the Lobster bisque and she ate all of it, unusual for my 11 year old who is so picky about her food. We ordered a bottle of wine, Meiomi Pinot Noir. Smoothest red wine Ever... For dinner I chosed the Ahi Tuna, I would have preferred for it to be a little more red in color, but it was tasty, especially w the sauces our server brought to pair it with. My friend had a fish dish that she thoroughly enjoyed, I forget which 1. The managers stopped by a couple of times to see how everything was, being in the buisiness myself I like when establishments do that. Our server James was Spot On. Friendly, very knowledgeable and his recommendations were awesome. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food you get. My only complaint, too many FABULOUS choices, it was hard choosing my entree. I will definitely be back. Thank you Bonefish and James, I just found my new favorite place.

OK FOOD, LACK EXTENSIVE SEAFOOD ITEMS ON MENU, SLOW SERVICE, MID-EXPENSIVE- had calamari appetizer, fish n chips pork chops. Scallops&Shrimp, chocolate brownie, creme brûlée n key lime pie. Desserts and appetizers were good. Main courses were OK. However, when you're paying a lot of money for the fish and chips you really don't expect them to be Tilapia fish. That was such a ripoff. Usually fish n chips are made of cod or halibut. It was slightly over battered. There really wasn't much in terms of seafood on the menu, no real hard to find or unusual fish. Same standard fare- salmon tilapia grouper Mahi scallops fried shrimp clams oysters lobster mkt value We so miss the Fish Market inCa For a place that's called Bonefish it sure doesn't live up to its name. Disappointed. We tried it once and probably won't be going back to any other Bonefish. Also the service was extremely slow even though it wasn't busy.

For a chain place, this place is excellent. I prefer the bar area over the dining room as the clientele appear to be more friendly and everyone wants to make friends. Bang-Bang Shrimp....it's all you need to know...and the wine list is quite good too. Great bread, great experience.

Lived it up tonight. Not only did we have our favorite bang bang shrimp but we also split a dinner. I have to recommend their shrimp and scallop dinner with your choice of sauce. Not only was the seafood great, but I LOVE their veggies--the green beans, carrots and au gratin potatoes-to die for. The wait staff is excellent! I don't know how they are able to hire so many professional, friendly, and fun staff. Sometimes we go on Wednesdays for the $5 bang bang shrimp, bread and drinks and sometimes we go full boat and have dinner. This is the time to go. Once season comes into play, it's VERY busy!

I have eaten at this B.G. twice, May for lunch, and last Saturday night for dinner with a date. It's owned by the same corporation which runs "Outback Steakhouse" and "Carrabba's Italian Grill." If there's a wait for a table, you can sit outside on sofas and benches with cushions, and the fans and misters make the late Spring Florida heat bearable. Unlike in California, you can drink alcoholic beverages on the sidewalk, no railings to keep the under-21 crowd separated. For a chain-owned restaurant, it's quite good, and they specialize in fresh seafood. For lunch, I had the " Imperial Longfin" which is a crab and shrimp stuffed Tilapia. Yummy! For dinner, we started out with the famed "Bang-Bang Shrimp" which were spicy and very tasty. I had the Caesar's Salad, followed by the Grilled Grouper. The grilled fish entrees come in two sizes, regular and small. Even the small sizes are quite generous. My date chose the "Imperial Longfin." For dessert, we shared a "Bananas Foster." All-in-all, quite a good meal for reasonable prices and the service is very good!

Ambience-3.5 Service-4 Food-4 Parking-4 Wine/Beer selection-3.5 I would say there is a correction factor, usually downward, for a chain restaurant. I would also say that the general foodie appreciates the local charm exuding from a restaurant, particularly when executed well. I would also say that when such a large chain restaurant spends money and time on recipe development, refinement does occur. The decor is nice enough, although when crowded, it can get loud. The service is polished, scripted, clear, and well done. The parking is a strip mall, good enough. They have enough of a beer/wine selection so a foodie doesn't suffer at reasonable prices, but one wouldn't make this a beer/wine destination. The food was well executed, and dependable. It's a solid enough performance, and comes in between a 3 to a 4. Whether you choose to round up depends on your biases against a chain versus recognizing there is a place for chains in the restaurant biz and for a dependable meal.

I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The bang bang shrimp appetizer is addicting. The salads are usually pretty good although this last time I wanted to try something other than their house vinaigrette and they gave me a thimbleful of dressing on the side; poor. I've had several different pieces of fish and the sea bass is the best. In fact, it is usually excellent. The wine list is mediocre but the service is always friendly and efficient. Nice choice for moderately priced seafood. It's usually pretty crowded in season so plan ahead

I have now gone here several time. I really enjoy the friendlyness of the staff and especially the Bar Staff. they are all very patient in answering any and all questions. Very romantic atmosphere. The Appitizers are amazing you have to try the Bang Bang Shrimp or the Ahi Tuna. makes me hungry just thinking of it. It is very important to make a reservation on the weekends because it gets packed. they do have the luxury of Call Ahead Seating. Happy Eating

Bonefish is a great choice for Happy Hour (house wine & Bang Bang Shrimp--my favorite--or the ahi tuna appetizer) or for a full dinner. The prices are very good for quality received and the always full dining room is a testament to that. Try it and you won't be diappointed!

I tried my best to have an open mind even though I was told of a previous horrible experience regarding service. We dined over the holidays, so the place was packed. As a fellow server, I'm very understanding of what a person is capable of when it's that busy, but regardless, service sucked. Even when I'm overwhelmed, I do my best to have a smile on my face and make note of simple requests like sauce on the side for salads. Of the party of 7, I was the only one not to get my drink or food on time. I ordered a cranberry which came 10 minutes after everyone else got their drink. The female server (wish I would have gotten her name) explained (after I reminded her that I didn't get my drink) that she had to get my drink from the bar, which confused me because my mother in-law ordered a wine and got her glass along with everybody elses drink. I ordered the spring salad with salmon with the sauce on the side. but when I got my salad (again after everyone else had received their plates) the greens were DRENCHED in dressing. I hate sending things back to the kitchen, but there was no way I could eat sauce soaked greens. I hesitantly decided to send it back and when it finally got back to the table, everyone was pretty much done eating. I liked the decor and the intimate ambiance in the dimly lit dining room, but I couldn't help but think that the server made me feel like she singled me out to have a crap experience. They say three strikes you're out, but I'm going to have to stop at two.

First time at a Bonefish, even thought it's a chain and found just about everywhere. I thought the atmosphere was very pleasant. The service was superb for being chain restaurant. While I believe the prices are a bit high for what you get the experience was pleasant. The Ahi Tuna appetizer is highly recommended.

Food was reasonable, but nothing special. Our waitress was superb, so that helped. My wife and I are visiting her parents, and it felt like we were the youngest ones in the restaurant by 40 years. But it's Florida. We got there before 6:30 so were able to get wine and beer for $2.50. Food was reasonably priced.

We weren't impressed. My lobster was mushy and the drawn butter was cold. We went there for early dining which is must if you don't want to wait. Service was good but we are still searching for a good seafood resturant.

It was our first visit to Bonefish Grill and came highly recommended by one friend and a little less highly recommended by another. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Our waitperson, Bryan, was very helpful and attentive. My husband had the Grouper and thought it was excellent. I had grilled shrimp and particularly enjoyed the different dips. We went early- 4:30 so did not need a reservation and it was pretty quiet.

I have visited this restaurant many, many times since it opened. However like many restaurants in the Fort Myers area they have steadily gone downhill and plenty have gone out of business recently. My visit there tonight (Jan 14th 2010) was the worst service of all. The waitress did not bother to mention the specials, did not bother to bring any bread (we had to ask for it) and then when the bread got dumped onto the table there was no dipping oil. We had to ask for that too. After taking our drinks order and appetizers she did not come back to get our dinner order. We had eaten our appetizers, by then we had to ask her when she intends to take our dinner order. We then (obviously) had to wait a long time for the dinners to arrive. The appetizer plates were taken away without even being asked if we had finished. No spoon for our infant son's meal, we had to ask for it. She took forever to come back with a spoon. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. When we asked for the bill it arrived with no comment at all, just slapped on the table. The service here is far from 'fine dining'. Of course unless you are a snowbird. Because for some reason snowbirds often receive different treatment. The food at this place is generally very good. But the typical Florida employee attitude lets the place down. There does not appear to be consistency with the service levels at Bonefish, Fort Myers. Anyway, the waitress (named Jessica H) got a mere $5 tip on a $65 bill. It's about time more people tipped in this country to reflect the true service they receive instead of feeling all 'customary'. It's the only way some of these people in Florida will get the message.

Bonefish never fails to satisfy... Their Filet with gorgonzola butter is on my "last meal" list... Great service, strong coctails, and excellent food. One of my favorites in Ft. Myers.

We had a party of 8 one night and everyone's food was perfect from the appetizers to the meals. We all had a variety if things from fish to steaks as well as tuna and shrimp appetizers. For the quality of the food and service the price was great, you would expect to pay a lot more for that quality of food and service.

Hubby and I went on a Wednesday evening for happy hour . Sitting at the bar we were serviced quickly and with professionalism. We HAD to have the bang-bang shrimp and the lollipop cucumber tuna appetizers. Tasty and great presentation!

Bang bang shrimp always a family favorite appetizer. The bananas foster is amazing; however, very rarely have it (suggestion to offer more often!).

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Happy hour from 4 to 6:30! I love the Siracha Chicken and Tuna Sashimi as apps. Service is always impeccable! I can't wait to come back and bring friends!

Had never been to a Bone Fish Grille before so we didn't know what to expect. Right off the bat the restaurant gives a feeling of high quality. The waitress was very nice and helpful. The food was very tasty and the plating was very nice. We will definitely return.
